Dual Body, Dual Voice, Dual Style: Long and His Walk with Visual Clones
In the latest short video project of Long – a member of the band One Plus One – the concept of "cloning" is not just a visual technique. Here, it becomes a means of expressing inner depth, creative talent and especially visual language through costumes. The two versions of Long converse not only through music, but also through costumes designed specifically by Root Rotation – carrying a strong brand spirit and a keen sense of trends.
Two clones, two worlds of costumes
In the video, the first avatar wears a bold industrial minimalist look: a loose-fitting, clean-cut jacket, layered with a see-through mesh top and washed denim jeans. The cool material combined with the open shape creates a sense of both stillness and movement – like a quiet yet sharp observational state of mind.
The other incarnation takes a completely different approach: an oversized white shirt paired with black pleated pants, layered with a wide-shouldered blazer, in the spirit of neoclassical tailoring. The oversized silhouette is not simply an aesthetic statement. It is a liberation from the constraints of the body – a theme that has become part of Root Rotation’s design DNA.
Fashion language as a metaphorical layer
Root Rotation cleverly uses costumes to reflect two extremes in an artist’s identity: rationality – control and emotion – adventure. It is this contrast that makes the concept of split personality stand out convincingly, without dialogue.
Both incarnations eschew bright colors or elaborate patterns. The neutral palette was chosen strategically: to leave room for expression, movement, and the wearer’s demeanor. According to Root Rotation’s brand guidelines, they pursue “functional elegance” – beauty that comes from function, minimalist but not monotonous. Every detail, every movement has a reason.

One Plus One: Connecting across multiple fields through technology and emotions
The project is also a testament to the unique direction of One Plus One – a band that is expanding the concept of a band in Vietnam. Not only playing multiple instruments and composing themselves, the group also actively applies AI technology to their art. For them, technology does not dull emotions, but becomes a catalyst to help expand the range of expression.

Root Rotation: When brand identity is an experimental flow
Root Rotation – a post-futuristic local brand – is gradually defining its own design language: genderless silhouettes, unique materials, and experimental spirit. Collaborating with artists like Long is a smart strategy to build identity. In their view, fashion is no longer a separate thing, but a vibrant part of the contemporary creative ecosystem.
An era where boundaries dissolve
Under the light of the split, not only two artistic egos appear – but also two embodiments of fashion thinking. An entity that integrates music, technology and design. And in the midst of that complex flow, Root Rotation and One Plus One are walking together – quietly, but with a very clear direction.
